WhatsApp users can hear voice messages and audio messages that are not part of the chat within the WhatsApp Desktop. The feature is in testing.

WhatsApp users can be able to listen in on voice notes as well as audio messages in chat room on WhatsApp Desktop.

The feature, known as the “global voice note player,” is available to desktop users.

The voice note app for global use was tested previously using WhatsApp. WhatsApp iOS beta application.

WhatsApp is currently working on features that will be available for desktop versions of the application. According to reports, within the next few days WhatsApp users can play voice recordings as well as audio messages, outside of chat window on WhatsApp Desktop. The feature, known as the “global voice note player,” is already available to a few desktop users. The global voice note feature was previously tested using an earlier version of the WhatsApp iOS beta application.

 The new feature was first noticed through the WhatsApp Features tracker Wabetainfo. Now, WhatsApp users using the Desktop can listen to the voice note and then switch to a different conversation. Once they have done that, WhatsApp will not stop playing the voice note. The new bar for audio players will appear at lower right on the Chat list. Users can manage the voice note using the playback button, and indicators for the progress bar will assist users know when the note has ended. The feature is accessible for all beta testers So make sure you download the most recent WhatsApp Desktop beta. The feature is accessible to beta testers of all levels, which means you’ll need download the WhatsApp desktop beta to utilize the feature.
